CAT WHISPERERS REQUIRED

We have a number of cats that need new homes but they have varying degrees of behavioural problems.  These are special cats who have been traumatized or have had multiple moves and have become nervous or mistrustful in certain situations.

If you are an experienced cat owner with time on your hands and are looking for that extra special companion, with your experience, time and patience, you will be rewarded with a friend who will love only you.  These cats are not suitable for busy or noisy homes and will not suit families with children.  No busy roads please.

SERENA - White & Black.  2 yr old Serena and her kittens were taken into our branch after being found absolutely starving in a derilict garage.  She was aggressive around food for some time but this has now settled down.  Serena is not vicious but seem to hiss or growl when in an enlcosed space with a new person.  Our fosterers do not think she knows how to purr. She either needs a home where she has warm dry shelter but can come and go as she pleases or an owner who is at home during the day and spend the time with her to win her trust.

PENNY - Black & White.  Penny is 14 years old and in remarkably good health, she was rescued by the branch after living on her own  in a house for 3 years with just a neighbour visiting once daily for a feed.  She was very cross when we bought her in but has since settled down nicely with our home fosterer and likes nothing more to snooze on a nice comfy chair and be stroked and petted.  She still has moments of grumpiness however.  Penny needs an adult only quiet home with patient owners. (Future vet bills for unexpected ill health will be paid for by a generous Cats Protection Supporter)

BUSTER - Black, 18 months.  Buster was simply left behind when his owners moved.  We were called by a concerned neighbour.  Buster has been a sweet natured quiet boy who really appreciates the smallest amounts of attention and is so well behaved.  However, when he has been viewed he has reacted dramatically to children.  Recently after a visit from a lovely young boy who really liked him, Buster hid and would not eat for a couple of days.  Our fosterer would not have believed his reaction if she had not seen it herself.  Buster may well have been abused and needs a home where he will not come into contact with children.

LUCKY - Black.  Lucky is on the waiting list to come into our care.  She is 6 years old and has lived with her sister all her life.  Both are lovely cats.  Since the addition of children to the family, Lucky seems traumatised and spends much of her time hiding.  Prior to the arrival of children, her owners say she was a quiet and gentle cat who loved to curl up on the sofa for a snooze.  She did like and enjoy lots of attention too. With the imminent arrival of another baby in the house,  Lucky now urgently needs a quiet  child free home.  She may get on with other cats if they were not dominent or aggressive.

These cats are all litter trained, will be vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms before going to their new homes.

Please contact us now if you think you fit the bill.
